about

I am a queer and Jewish actor, theatre-maker, and teaching artist based in New York City.

I seek to create work that evokes visceral response, borrowing inspiration from embodied metaphor (ie. tidal waves of electric guitar, melancholy park lamps) to crack open new perspectives on how we experience our own experience.

I often collaborate on creating new works for the stage and screen, as well as offering refreshed perspectives on classical texts. Whether working on the latter, new devised pieces, or film projects, I approach each process with a big-hearted sense of humor, a witty intellect, and a generous collaborative spirit.

I have trained internationally, holding an MA with Distinction in Acting from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, and a BA in Theatre Performance from Fordham Lincoln Center, NYC, in conjunction with the  Moscow Art Theatre School in Russia.

In addition to my work as an actor, I am a passionate theatre educator and teaching artist. I serve as Chair of the Drama faculty for the acclaimed summer Academy program at the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities, and am on the teaching artist staffs of the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival and New York Theatre Workshop.

I look forward to working with you.
